THE NEST
The Nest is our residential housing program for pregnant students and student moms with newborns. You get a safe, supported place to live — and everything you need to stay in school, care for your baby, and build toward what comes next.
Who qualifies for the Nest
* Enrolled in a higher education program (associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or qualifying trade program)
* Currently pregnant or have a child under the age of one
* No other dependent children
* Willing to live in community with other student mothers
* Able to meet house expectations: shared chores, one house meal and meeting per week, and contributing to the well-being of the home
What residents receive
* Rent and utilities
* Grocery assistance
* Counseling stipend
* Doula services and staff support
* EH Resources: mentorship, budgeting, academic liaison, nonprofit partnerships
* Care Coordinator check-ins
* Baby Boutique and diapers
* Community: family dinners, resident friendships, monthly events and outings
* Childcare resources: Babysitters Club, TN Voucher Application assistance
